House Homeland Security Committee Follows Rep. Correa’s Recommendation and Holds Briefing On Domestic Terror

Washington, DC—Today, the House Homeland Security Committee announced it will hold a classified briefing to discuss the domestic terror threats in the United States. Following the Charlottesville, Virginia on August 12th, Congressman Correa demanded hearings to discuss white supremacist domestic terror.

Rep. Correa said, “I want to thank Chairman McCaul for holding this briefing. I hope the committee will also hold a nonclassified hearing to publicly discuss the dangers posed by white supremacist domestic terrorism, but I am glad the committee is taking this step. We must do more to combat those who would harm their fellow Americans.”
